1. The Rite of Blessing a new home or dwelling: Whether your home is a castle or a mobile home; whatever the location a priest will gladly come to your new home and offer a service to bless this residence and those that abide within as set forth in the Book of Common Prayer. This is a beautiful service and tradition that goes back several centuries. Yoy need not be a member of our church to request a service. We offer this to all Catholics, Protestents, and Members of Nondenomination Churches as well. The priest will anoint the house and residents with Olive Oil and Holy Water asking protection of the residents that reside there. A cross you select also be anointed and then will be placed over the thresh hold as required to keep evil and bad things from happening within the dwelling. A Holy Blessing and Anointing of the residents will also be performed during this service. You need not be a member of our church to request this service. We offer this to all Baptized Christians and also offer Holy Communion to you and your guests during the service. A candle lighting ceremony will also be performed summing Saint Michael the Archangel to send his Good Angels to be ever watchful of the home and it's occupants.
May this home
be a good place for us to live,
May our lives be long and may we have love
in this home.
May we live in this home happily and peacefully and with respect.
myself, (my wife, my children,) my relatives, whomever may come into this
home, may they relax peacefully and rest.
May
all of us maintain perfect, vibrant health.
All above me, may it be happy;
All around me, may it be happy; and
May our home be filled with peace, harmony
and love forever and ever in the name of our Christ and Savior Jesus!
